Are you passionate about shaping the future of work through artificial intelligence? Heart & Stroke is seeking an AI and Innovation Adoption Manager to lead the charge in driving AI adoption and innovation across the organization. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact—helping employees embrace new technologies, creating momentum for change, and fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous learning.  
  
In this role, you’ll be leading Heart and Stroke initiatives to drive the adoption of AI tools with a primary focus on Microsoft Copilot and other emerging technologies. You will be responsible for enabling staff upskilling to enable AI and Innovation into their everyday work and discover new ways of working. You’ll work with departments to uncover needs and identify opportunities related to AI tools, learning, support testing environments that encourage experimentation, and ensure responsible and effective use of AI. By combining strategic thinking with hands-on support, you’ll help shape our AI roadmap and position Heart & Stroke as a leader in digital transformation.  

How you will make an impact every day 

AI Adoption & Enablement:  
Drive organization-wide adoption of AI and innovation tools and act as the primary point of contact for staff support.  

  • In partnership with the Director, AI and Innovation, build the AI adoption roadmap.   
  • Champion Heart and Stroke AI adoption and transformation strategy by being the primary point of contact for employees on responsibly using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and other emerging technologies.   
  • Partner with business leads and lead fact-finding sessions cross-functionally, to assess AI tools needs and provide recommendations.  
  • Develop frameworks to support secure and responsible testing & tool assessment and provide guidance, troubleshoot issues, and support maintaining FAQs and learning resources.  
  • Support the business in implementing KPIs to track tool efficiency and business value realized from AI initiatives.   
  • Lead projects related to implementation of AI and Innovation initiatives, trainings and tools, in partnership with the IT, PMO and L&D teams.   
  • Maintain a high level of digital fluency and practical expertise in AI tools and AI trends, with the ability to support staff at varying levels of technical proficiency.  
  • Prototype, configure, and customize Copilot Studio agents to automate and enhance business workflows, delivering practical solutions and support for teams across the organization.  
  • Encourage and support leaders and staff champions to foster a culture of sharing, innovation, and responsible AI use.  

Learning & Capability Building:  
Build employee confidence and skills through training and education.  

  • Coach and support employees to build confidence and skills in using AI tools, providing tailored guidance based on individual and team needs.  
  • Identify learning and capability gaps and partner with Learning & Development and vendors to design and deliver experience sharing, AI training sessions, workshops etc.  
  • Offer 1:1 and small group coaching to employees  
  • Monitor feedback and continuously improve training content and delivery.  
  • Identify emerging areas for learning and capacity building by staying informed on AI trends and organizational needs, ensuring programs remain relevant and future focused.  

Governance & Risk Management:  
Ensure responsible and compliant AI use through governance processes.  

  • Oversee the AI tool approval process to ensure strong governance and central visibility on how AI is being used:   
  • Guide teams as they explore and prioritize AI use cases.   
  • Guide teams through testing and proof-of-concept phases for new AI-enabled digital tools.  
  • Gather required documentation and coordinate reviews with Legal, Security, and IT.  
  • Ensure all steps are completed for timely approvals.  
  • Uphold organizational AI Use policies by:  
  • Ensuring employees understand and follow guidelines on an ongoing basis.  
  • Answering questions and providing clarity on policy requirements.  
  • Identifying areas where policies need updates to reflect emerging needs.  
  • Proactively identify and manage people, process, and data risks in collaboration with Legal, Security, and IT.  
  • Construct and maintain a benefits management framework for AI initiatives, ensuring anticipated value is clearly defined, tracked, and realized post-implementation.   
  • Monitor and evaluate post-implementation results, report findings and recommendations to leadership, and propose enhancements to optimize yield.  
  • Work with the AI steering Committee, PMO, L&D, IT and Legal leaders to ensure strong governance, policy compliance and risk management and benefits realization.   
  • Ensure privacy and information classification requirements are met for all AI capabilities. 

Innovation & Experimentation:  

Drive new ideas and proof-of-concept projects to explore AI opportunities.  

  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to assess current Adoptions and identify opportunities for transformation and increased impact.   
  • Leverage data-driven insights to provide recommendations to the H&S Senior Leadership Team, enabling informed decision-making that aligns with organizational priorities and drives impact.    
  • Assist teams in identifying role-based AI use cases aligned with organizational priorities.  
  • Support pilots and testing, including KPI development and success measurement.  
  • Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders during evaluation and implementation phases.  
  • Stay up to date with AI trends, and best practices,   
  • As part of the Constituent Experience, Data, and Innovation Team, work on and propose innovative constituent experience journeys from an AI perspective.   
  • Apply agile delivery methods and design thinking approaches to pilot and scale AI solutions.   
  • Use modern agile tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to manage projects and foster collaboration.  

Communication & Change Management:  
Build excitement and momentum for AI adoption through effective communication.  

  • Develop internal campaigns and success stories to showcase AI benefits.  
  • Share practical examples and tips to encourage participation and confidence.  
  • Foster a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement and learning through regular updates and engagement.  
  • Partner with Communications and Linguistics teams to ensure messaging is clear, accessible, and aligned with organizational standards. 

Strategic Alignment:   
Connect day-to-day activities to organizational priorities and provide insights to leadership.  

  • Responsible for ensuring planning and execution of AI initiatives align with H&S AI strategy and organizational priorities.  
  • Track AI adoption trends and report progress to leadership.  
  • Define product vision, roadmap and success metrics for scaling AI across the organization, in collaboration with the Director, AI and Innovation   

Monitoring & Feedback  
Track AI adoption and learning programs, gather feedback, and use insights to improve initiatives.  

  • Monitor participation and engagement in AI training and enablement programs   
  • Collect and analyze feedback from staff on AI-enabled tools and learning resources, working collaboratively with L&D.   
  • Identify trends and propose improvement opportunities to enhance adoption and effectiveness  
  • Report findings and recommendations to leadership for strategic decision-making.  
  • Monitor the Microsoft Copilot product roadmap to stay informed about upcoming features and enhancements, and collaborate with IT, Communications, and Learning & Development to ensure new capabilities are effectively communicated and staff are trained.  

Who we need 

Education 

  • University degree (bachelors) in Business and/or professional certifications in AI or digital product management are considered assets.  

Experience 

  • 7+ years in product management, digital transformation, or technology enablement.   
  • Familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, machine learning basics).  
  • Experience with data-driven decision-making, including interpreting analytics and reporting insights.  
  • Experience supporting technology adoption initiatives within an organization.  
  • Proven track record of managing pilots or proof-of-concept projects, including KPI development and evaluation.  
  • Experience managing digital transformation projects.   
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio is a plus  

Skills  

  • Ability to prototype, configure, and customize Copilot Studio agents is a plus   
  • Understanding compliance, risk management, and ethical considerations in AI.  
  • Strong digital fluency; keeps abreast with digital best practices outside Heart & Stroke and the industry    
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and present recommendations to sr. management   
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence outcomes, build persuasive arguments and gain support to achieve business goals.  
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and experience working with teams from various disciplines (e.g., IT, marketing, fundraising, analytics).  
  • Proactive, self-motivated and resourceful; able to work independently and take ownership.  
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail   
  • Flexible and adaptable - able to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment   
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret reports and manage financial information   
  • Experience with a data-driven approach to solve problems and drive results    
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing priorities  
  • Capability to monitor emerging AI trends and translate them into actionable insights.  
  • Willingness to explore new tools and technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.  
  • A good understanding the core concepts of AI/ML

This role offers a hiring range of $90,000 to $100,000, aligned with our compensation framework and your professional background.
