Heart and Stroke is a special type of company. We’re a foundation, a place that values championing health and has a bias for action as we tackle heart disease and stroke. Our mission is to promote health, save lives and enhance recovery.
Who we need
Reporting to our Director, Development Support Services, we have a 12-month contract opportunity for an Associate Manager; someone who thrives on creating more efficient and effective ways of doing things. This is an opportunity that brings together our various provincial needs and services under one national umbrella. It’s a unique opportunity for a creative, focused problem-solver to join an established, national organization to support the Community Engagement teams as you help roll out a new strategy. It’s a chance to design, develop and deliver processes to support a cohesive national team, grow relationships, encourage communication and create a unified approach to fulfilling our mission. It’s a chance to be part of a national foundation where you can combine your expertise in streamlining operations, building out processes and working with remote or satellite teams to ensure donor dollars continue to be used wisely.
What’s in it for you? Heart.
Have your voice heard. This is your passion and your career. You want to be heard, you want to implement ideas, and you want to satisfy your appetite for change. You will be looked to for expertise.
Excitement. This is a new world for us with sizeable growth potential. You will have the chance to be part of a positive and motivated culture where no two days are the same; where we are undergoing continuous growth and change. You will be able to create and implement new ideas and processes.
Amazement. You will be part of a foundation that worked to reduce trans fats in the food supply, place AEDs in communities across the country and control the marketing of tobacco.
Relationships. You will nurture relationships with the teams locally and across Canada. You will be mentored and supported by the Director, Development Support Services and you will be welcomed into a close-knit, dedicated group.
Take your career to the next level. Now is the time to make a career move into a national foundation to grow your exposure and your skills. It’s a new role with new projects where you will be able to see the fruition of your efforts.
